Who we are
We're engineers and project managers who have designed, delivered and commissioned complex plants ourselves, from early feasibility through to handover.
Clients bring us in to design their plant, as their owner's engineer, or as an independent reviewer. Whatever the role, our job is to help them make good technical decisions and catch problems early.
Our clients work directly with our senior people. What defines us isn't one technology or sector. It's how we work: practical, careful, and grounded in how plants are really built and run.

01Where we started
First-of-kind hydrogen and renewable gas
Amarna Energy was founded in 2019 with a strong focus on hydrogen and renewable gas systems, at a time when these technologies were emerging and the regulations were still being written. Our early projects were first-of-kind, where safety, compliance and operational readiness mattered from day one.
02What it taught us
Engineering for high-hazard, regulated work
That work built deep capability in high-hazard engineering, regulatory engagement, safety in design and commissioning. These skills carry straight across to any industry where the engineering has to be right.
03Where we are today
Same habits, more industries
Today our work runs from heavy vehicle charging depots in NSW to design work at Callide Power Station and hazard studies for zero-emission mine haul trucks. Hydrogen and biomethane are still core strengths, and proof that we're at home where projects are complex and regulated.

Specialist engineering input, technical assurance and support for investment, regulatory and delivery decisions.

Working inside client or project teams to support engineering, construction and commissioning.

We use digital tools and AI-assisted workflows to make our engineering faster and more consistent, with engineers in charge of every technical decision.
Structured data analysis, automation and AI-assisted review support work such as design development, option assessment, document review, interface management and commissioning readiness. That means more of your budget goes on engineering judgement.
